Using Essential Oils

Essential oils have many uses and can be used in the household for cleaning, diffusing and relaxing.

Use lavender oil in a diffuser to help with anxiety. For a more restful sleep, add a few drops to your pillow or to a tissue before you go to sleep at night. Lavender can also be applied to a burn, but it's better to add it with a carrier oil first in case you have sensitive skin. As a general rule, most essential oils should be added to a carrier oil rather than applying directly. When applying directly it is referred to as applying neat.  

Clean your countertops with a few drops of lemon oil and tea tree that is a combined with a few ounces of warm water. Freshen up your shoes by applying lemon oil and tea tree to a cotton ball and placing in shoes.
